Computer user behavior is an important factor in determining the level of security of the computer itself, especially when connected to the Internet.

Unfortunately, there are still many users are ignorant about this. At least, it is seen from the report that the latest Security Intelligence Report shows the data is quite astonishing.

In the report, it was revealed that 25% of computers around the world, is not equipped with anti-malware software. Some countries are categorized as 'hotspots' of Egypt. In this state, the PC is not protected anti-virus and malware reached 40%. In America, the number reached 26% and UK 21%.

The research is based on data obtained from the Internet provider which covers 600 million computers worldwide. Also mentioned in the report, unprotected PC on average had 5.5 times as many malware attacks.

Entering the second half of 2012, there were 2.5 out of 10 computers or 25% of the world's computers are not protected by antivirus software is up-to-date. According to Microsoft, the computer is not protected mainly due to several aspects that can stand alone or a combination thereof.

The cause of such aspects of user ignorance, end of trial antivirus software, due to malware infection, or being fooled by fake antivirus software.

Meanwhile, Yudhi Strong, Technical Consultant antivirus company ESET Indonesia submits, in many cases, this aspect is also sometimes caused by 'negligence' when certain requirements.

"For example, for needs such as playing online games, antivirus software is disabled intentionally, but then they forget to turn it back on," he said in a statement on Sunday (04/28/2013).

Previously, ESET also conducted a survey of 1,000 PC gamers in the UK and the results are astounding 1,000 PC gamers, 30% of whom admitted they disable security applications before beginning to play.

As a result, half of those who disable security features malware infection and it took more than two days to repair the computer to return to normal.

The findings, by Stephen Cobb who was a malware researcher at ESET, regarded as a condition that is not surprising. He even claimed that the number of computers that are not protected not only in personal computers.

The same conditions also hit both computers in many business organizations and government agencies. Based on research reports Third Annual Patient Privacy & Data Security Study, with a sample of health institutions.
